The campus police received a student report on the night of October 23rd at 11:40 PM, indicating that three aggressive stray dogs were chasing students running on the athletics field.
The administration team has been closely monitoring these three stray dogs. This dog group lives on Shibaoshan Mountain. There is a small path next to our school's Xiangsi Lake that leads to Shibaoshan Mountain, and the dog group comes to the campus through this path.
To prevent the dog group from entering the campus, the administration team has added fences and gates at the junction between Shibaoshan Mountain and our school on October 22. Today, it was discovered that passersby did not close the gate, allowing the dog group to easily enter the campus. Today, notices have been posted on the gate to remind everyone to remember to close it.
After receiving the report of the dog group appearing on the track field last night, the administration team immediately coordinated with the Hsinchu City Animal Protection Office to move the originally set trapping cages from Shibaoshan Mountain to the small path behind our school's athletics field leading to Meigu Trail. Along the path, two trapping cages have been set up, and the police team has been asked to assist in strengthening patrols.
Please be aware of the dog group and pay attention to the following matters:
1.Stay away from stray dogs: When you encounter stray dogs, please keep your distance and do not approach them directly. If you want to take photos and record them ,please do so from a distance to avoid provoking a reaction from the dogs. If the dogs approach you, you can use personal items (such as a backpack) to shield yourself until the dogs leave. Do not make big movements or panic and run, as it may trigger the dogs to chase after you.
2.Do not provoke: Please do not provoke stray dogs, as this may cause them to attack and cause injury.
3.Do not feed the dogs: The stable campus strays are being fed by Huaisheng Club, so there is no need to feed any stray dogs.
4.Contact the campus police: If you see stray dogs without collars, please contact the campus police immediately: 03-5714769.
